I sure do love my bascetti
Mom serves me a plate and I’m ready
I put my fork in the pile
Then I start to smile
And I slurp the long strands good and steady
I only eat one at a time
It slings ’round my mouth and I find
The shorter it gets
The faster it whips
Throwing red sauce around and behind
Bascetti’s the most funest food
Dad says the way that I eat it is crude
When a boy in his day
He ate the same way
But to mention that would be rude
I guess when I’m old as him
I won’t need a cloth ’round my chin
I’ll sit up straight
Look down at my plate
And that’s when the fun will end!
Adults don’t have any fun at dinner
They don’t eat much to get thinner
They don’t smack their lips
Afraid that their hips
Will never get any leaner
But I don’t worry ’bout that
I think that I’ll never be fat
I think I am ready
Another plate of Bascetti
Maybe more if I eat all of that!
