I love to play under leaves in a pile
I dive right in…can’t help but smile
You can get yourself covered
And you won’t be discovered
‘Til you pop your head up after a while
But yesterday I got a surprise
When I jumped in some leaves piled high
When I got near the ground
That’s when I found
I wasn’t the first to arrive
My neighbor Billy was there
He had jumped in the pile on a dare
We both bumped our heads
A pile won’t hold two kids
Of that we’re now sorely aware
