What Do You See? by Russ McKay

The way we view things ‘though they may be
The same for everyone to see
Depends on what we’ve learned and do
Yes some don’t see things like me or you

Looking at a house a painter fellow
Might only see that the paint turned yellow
A roofer might say that he has proof
“That house there needs a brand new roof!”

One builder could think it needs a new wing
A bricklayer feels brick steps are the thing
The family of nine thinks the house too small
Others say three stories is just too tall

But remember that those living there just might
Think that their Home Sweet Home’s “Just Right!”
